Diabetes is a long-term condition in which the body does not make the desired quantity of insulin.
Occasionally the patient with diabetes also faces anxiety situation.
This happens when blood sugar levels are too low or excessive.
Both of the above mentioned conditions are very dangerous, so the patient should look at the physician immediately.
Normal ranges of blood sugar :
Normal ranges of blood sugar are different for fasting (atleast 8 hours after meals) and random (1 to 2 hours after meals). It also depends on whether someone has diabetes or not.
So, the normal range of blood sugar in fasting is between 70 to 99 mg/dl. It should be between 80 to 130 mg/dl for a diabetic patient. Whereas, the normal range of blood sugar level in random condition (after 1 to 2 hours of meals) of a person without diabetes should be upto 140 mg/dl.
Low blood sugar :
Causes of low blood sugar level :
This happens when the blood glucose and insulin balance is worsened or the patient does more exercise.
Symptoms of low blood sugar :
The main symptoms of reducing diabetes are increasing fatigue, increase in body fatness, increases heart rate and feel appetite.
Treatment of low blood sugar :
If the amount of sugar in the diabetes is very low and its condition is worsened, follow the instructions below:
- Sit this person with comfort and then check out his sugar.
- Pour the orange juice first then get him drink water with fed three spoons of sugar.
- After 15 minutes, check out his sugar level again.
- If it is found to be less than 70mg/dl, then do the same process and check it again.
- If the sugar level is found to be the same again, then consult the doctor.
High blood sugar :
Causes of high blood sugar level :
Causes of high blood sugar may be lack of physical activity or exercise, depression, obesity, Pancreatic Diseases, eating too much, dehydration etc.
Symptoms of high blood sugar :
Symptoms of the increased sugar level in the blood are Breath breathing, bleeding fast, sour breathing aroma, get hot and dry in the skin, thirst more and drowsiness etc.
Treatment of high sugar level :
If you apply insulin, there is the possibility that patient's sugar level may increase.
There are various types of insulin, so do not apply them without consulting the physician.
If you feel Nausea or stomach pain along with high blood sugar level, then go to the physician immediately.
